Citizenship Project

The citizenship project is a requirement that all 8th grades have to do in their Social Studies class. Students are grouped up with 4-6 members and think about issues or problems that they have seen in the society or community. They might came up with a long list of issues, i.e. global warming, gambling, drinking and driving, breaking the traffic law, smoking, or other issues. Each group then choose one topic that they think they want to do a project on. The idea is to have students, as citizen of Thailand, be part of the community citizen by trying to eliminate or ease up that problem.

After selecting the topic, each group then starts to think 'how can they alleviate such issue' and 'how to encourage students of Sa-nguan Ying School to take part in the elimination of the issue'. Most group came up with a questionnaire survey asking their friend's view on the issue. Later on, they start to create a poster, a video clip, a Facebook Fanpage, and a blog to encourage students to participate in the activity. Here are some examples of their work.
